Follow-up Comment #1:
A couple of issues need to be resolved:
1) If there is an existing full backup from a previous version, this script
fails. See attached incr-failed.log.
2) This scheme is incompatible with other backends. In testing, I backup
with one backend and restore with another in order to check compatibility.
This could probably be resolved with a command-line flag to turn on the
subdir function and default to off for now.
