Follow-up Comment #1:
Try upgrading to the latest versionn, 0.4.9, at
http://www.nongnu.org/duplicity/. A lot of changes and improvements have been
made since 0.4.3. Be sure to read the CHANGELOG and the man page to
understand the latest syntax, introduced in 0.4.4.
