Follow-up Comment #7, patch #6300 (project duplicity): backends.py is at rev 1.64. Your patch was applied at 1.62. To back it out, I reverted back to 1.61 and applied the changes from 1.63, yielding 1.64. I tested and at least ftp and ssh were working properly. Note: the patch applied at 1.62 failed on 6 chunks. You were out of sync and trying to reapply changes from patches that had already been applied. That may be part of the confusion.
