Oh, for sure.  I'm not arguing to get rid of it.  I think what we're
talking about now is (1) do we want it to be a warning instead of an
error and (2) do we want it to retry the upload after this test fails.

I think you're in favor of yes to both.  I'm still in favor of no to
both, but I don't feel super strongly.  I'm just glad the check is
there at all.
