You should probably ask the Rackspace people.

I can tell you that I use Duplicity on a nightly basis on my machines,
and the bandwidth use is asymmetrical, just like any other bulk file
transfer scenario. There's a big spike for bandwidth out, and hardly
even a blip on bandwidth in.
