Python uses the _librsync.so module strictly to access the system
librsync.so.  Note the '_' at the first.  This module provides the
mapping between Python and C, but none of the logic.

under Suse 10.2 , there seem to be only librsync.a and .la
I just doublechecked I can safely rename them and an ftp duplicity backup run is successful there ain't no other librsync around .. i doublechecked with locate after running updatedb also in 'ldconfig -p' no librsync can be grep'ed. Is it possibly only used for ssh'ed rsync backups?
