Ethic, Values, Against Drm by Paolo Del Bene

  27 October 2022

Intel in the past has been a good cpu and is not debatable, but since 2005 things have changed and people in the world prefer to stand by and watch, rather than react and take a position, beyond the fact that the user it will need a cpu, but both Intel and the users, they have forgotten that if there are not people that purchases the cpu's, who will Intel sell its processors to?

So Intel come back to reason why it is clashing with the same user that feeds it this is happening, because there is no longer a responsable user, a user who carries out a political line in addition to passions and studies, but only one generation of young people who get lost behind the computer or smartphone, simply to play with it and in case they complain because the umpteenth game (NOT free software), does not work, instead of being objective and recognizing that a computer should not run or a game, but even less a NON-free software operating system, so a part of the user remains screwed because it will not be able to make a certain NOT free software work, but at the same time, it is not all this great damage, indeed if we went to reverse engineer the code source, who knows what would be inside it and then once the portion of source code that monitors the way in which the user moves, who knows how the same software houses of NON-free software in the world would rotate.

At least since 2005, software houses such as Amd and Intel were presenting motherboards where the DRM "Digital Rights Management" was at the user's discretion, especially Intel has taken the DRM issue seriously in recent years, and now DRM is no longer at the discretion of the user, but it is part of the same cpu's, so you can decide what should run on the computers this means monitoring the user traffic and then tell me if this is not a damage to the same "Freedom" that is said to be protected as reported in the Constitution, but in practice no magistrate or judge has come forward, to recognize that in great silence are working to have a world population under control.

In the seventies, there was still an economy in Italy, despite the fact that in the following forty years, we made electronic engineering industries disappear, to allow Asian countries, the possibility of producing and enhancing themselves, today industries such as Intel, are the first ones to have to face the problems that the Italian economy faced in the seventies years, it is a matter of putting the economy back on its feet that we no longer have in our countries, an economy which is also based on production, but which have ethics, therefore values.

Hi all,

As described in our [IDAD announcement][1] last month, we finished
publishing our interviews from folks off the streets about their
thoughts on "digital sharing." There's now a playlist on PeerTube to
view them all: https://framatube.org/c/idad_2022/video-playlists

We learned a lot, captured some "aha moments" from interviewees, and
overall enjoyed exercising the freedom to share. Hope you enjoy, and
please let us know your thoughts!

If anyone subscribed to this list would like to do a similar thing, we
published our interview prompts on the LibrePlanet wiki as well:
https://libreplanet.org/wiki/Group:Defective_by_Design/Day_Against_DRM_2022
You are encouraged to try for yourself!

(Since I expect people to ask:) Tech-wise, basically all I used was a
mic (Sony ECM959A) that connected via 2.5mm directly into my X200 and
recorded with Audacity, which I also used to clean the sound up using
its "denoiser" tool. I used the latest version of Kdenlive, which works
AMAZINGLY well nowadays, for video editing. The OS I used was Trisquel.

This video was created as part of our winter membership drive themed
"Freedom to share." Read more about this campaign at

Cheers!
Devin U.

P.S. No DRM was used, imposed, or created in the production of these
videos. :p
