Follow-up Comment #1, patch #4286 (project dotgnu-pnet):
Please try the following:
in pnet/libgc/Makefile.am and Makefile.in replace the small s with a big S in
mips_sgi_mach_dep.s where EXTRA_DIST is set.
After this change make dist works for me on FC4.
