Examples for beginners are a very important kind of documentation;
it wouldn't go into pnetlib but rather into the "contrib" directory
of the cd... if it was clear that the code is in the public domain
we could include as such (since public domain code is GPL-compatible
Free Software) however if (as your description of the situation
seems to imply) the copyright situation isn't totally clear, we
shouldn't include it.
