This is a very good point.  Let's put together a list of actual
problems that we'd like DotGNU to solve.

Here's another problem:  How to provide a service (that will be
accessed via the internet) with extremely high probability of
100% uptime.  For example, one of my clients has a dedicated web
and mailing list server, which is co-located in New York.  After
the recent terrorist attack, electricity failed, and there was so
much ash in the air that the backup power generators failed also.
This resulted in several days of downtime.  A precaution that
prevents this kind of problem would involve two servers in
different cities, which both can handle any request, and which
will communicate to keep their databases in sync, and which will
automatically resolve any conflicts.
