I'm an avid Yahoo user, and Yahoo offers much of what MS promises with Hailstorm as far as actual services are concerned. Yahoo already provides much of that information through back-end partnering with other institutions. I enjoy the integration, and use it constantly. What MS calls a "new initiative" is really an old idea, rebranded and remarketed to convince the world that they need MS.

So the short answer is, centralized management of resources. Instead of entering all our data in Quicken or Money, our "service provider" pulls all that data from our bank, credit card, and investment sites and presents that to us in one package. I would use that. I pay for Quicken. Why wouldn't I pay for the service?

Hi, there. Just like to say this is my philosophy, as well. I'm an avid supporter of integration of various data sources instead of having it all in one place. I plan on doing this with Jabber, since it's very capable with some coding work.
