[DotGNU]Let's take stock

As the DotGNU Protable.NET project is going forward very nicely,
it is high time to take stock of what other Free Software is
available (or under development and close enough to maturity) to
go with it to form DotGNU 1.0 ...

Of particular importance is of course a single-login solution
that allows us to compete with Passport.  I am aware of the
following projects:

GlobalLogin (Mason Ham), masc (Mario D. Santana),
FlySolo (Albert Scherbinsky), FrePort (John le'Brecage),
XNS (see http://xns.org ), FreeGates (Khen Ofek), and
then there's the "Liberty Alliance".

If you're aware of any other existing or in-development
code that can be used for a Free Software single-login
solution, please post about it to address@hidden

It's less urgent, but also important to build a list of *all*
Free Software projects that may be useful for DotGNU in some 
way.

For this reason I have become an editor of the relevant
category at dmoz, which provides a good collaborative
environment for craeting a categorized directory of websites
about potentially useful software projects.

Please visit

http://dmoz.org/Computers/Open_Source/Software/Internet/

and submit any and all websites that you are aware of
about projects that may be potentially useful to DotGNU.

(It's also ok of course to submit websites that are not likely
to benefit DotGNU but which still belong in this section of the
dmoz directory.)

I'd also appreciate if some of you become co-editors of this
category or one of its subcategories.  (When applying for
editor's rights, mention that you're responding to a request for
help from me.)
