Thanks Laurent, but how to manage if I have to exchange the missing 50 pcs with a similar product ?
Do we cancel the remaining shipment and issue a new order ?

Hi, I would like to understand on how to best solve the back ordered or not shipped items in dolibarr.
In some cases we have not enough quantity of items to ship to the customer, and we want to track what has still to be shipped.

For now I think the solution is to use the shippment module. Or is there some better solution ?

We do get an order from a customer for 100 pcs of a product, we do the order
and then ship 50 pcs.

What is the best practice to track how many pieces we still have to ship ?
