MinGW32 is a Win32 port of GCC, many people use it for VC++ alternative.
I suppose Electric for Windows uses MFC? or QT GUI toolkit? My compiler setup
uses MinGW32 + wxWindows. Seems MingW32 doesn't support MFC. It's really a
pity!
