There are posts from as early as 2018 in Hyperbola GNU, such as

Free Software Foundation was notified a long time ago.
Richard Stallman takes personal stances on issues immediately. But the
FSF does not. This makes people fight. It would be good to take an
immediate stance, like when they decided to move from Freenode, but
taking into account all the users' positions, not just the
administrators' points of view. Speaking with those which will be left
out before making a decision in order to reach consensus might change
the taken actions and avoid dividing the community. This might take
time, but not 3 years.
