Hi everyone,
I just noticed this, it is a questionnaire which some guy is using to get information about whether young people are happy with the level of content filtering in their school/college/uni etc.
Honestly please :)

P.s. this is one of the really simple things you can do to try and get more freedom... unfortunately I don't believe the solution is better filtering technology, but no filters at all.

Colleagues

Miles Berry[1] and I[2] are presenting at the BETT show[3] on the Saturday, for the BCS with the above title, exploring children's informal learning outside the classroom and what implications this might have for teachers and schools. As well as a literature review and some case studies, we've also put together a quick google-form based survey (see[4] http://edtechuk.net) to get some quantitative data of our own. One of the things we'll be looking at is the extent to which children's internet activities are monitored or filtered at home.

I wonder if there's any chance of some of you pointing a few students
towards the above address, or passing it on to colleagues who might
be able to find a spare 10-15 minutes for a class to fill in the blanks.

We'll obviously be sharing our findings at BETT, and probably through
some follow-up pieces afterwards. Apologies for cross posting elsewhere.

Thanks
Terry
