Hello everyone, it seems like this year's Sun Microsystems events are starting
soon!

Sun Microsystems is a huge supporter of Free Software and they currently run
an initiative in Universities to spread Open Source and Free Software via
their Campus Ambassadors, who organise lectures and talks throughout the year.

The first is happening next Monday, the 24th of November, at 5.00pm in the
Lewin Lab (room G12) in Regent's Court*. It would be great to see an FSS
presence there.

The talk will be given by a Sun Microsystems employee and will be a guide to Sun Microsystems' products and technologies, as well as a mini tutorial on how
you can access their online materials and academic networking site.

Also, there will be some free pizza and drinks available after the talk;
courtesy of Sun Microsystems! :D

Everyone's invited so come along, learn about Sun and future talks on Java,
Open Solaris, NetBeans and Sunspot coming up this year, eat some free pizza
and have a chat. As well as an FSS presence, there'll also be the Computer
Science Society committee and the Sun Campus Ambassador will be there too, so
we can get some good collaboration talk going.

IMPORTANT
If you think you will be attending this event please could you please email
address@hidden to let them know (before monday afternoon please)
so that estimates can be made about numbers for buying pizza etc.

Thanks,
Chris Warburton

* Regent's court is the square building surrounding a courtyard near St
George's church (near the bike stands), to get to the Lewin Lab go into the courtyard from the church side and enter via the doors on the left wall. Once inside, go through the door to the right and continue straight through to the
Lewin Lab. If you need more detailed directions then ask us in a reply :)
