Hi Joe and Richard;

  I don't use Denemo...

In lilypond, I'd use "\partial 2" to solve this problem.

  Hope it helps...

I thought I had replied.
I have version 2.22 with April 4th download. Actually using May 29th
Download.
With a restarted denemo and a blank file with the repeat-start it did
not typeset
Can you do the same but use

Command: Export Lilypond
Export the score as a lilypond file
Location: Main Menu ▶ File ▶ Export As
Internal Name: ExportMUDELA

and post the .ly file up? That will help establish whether the problem
is with Denemo or with the LilyPond you are using.

Richard

With the previous file and a repeat-start in the Chord Staff above it
did typeset (!)
See attached file.

  Hi Richard,
Any idea why there is no repeat-start marking or barline in the
attached (see below) after 3 crotchets?
No. I have typeset it both with LilyPond 2.22 and 2.24 and it
typesets
the repeat start as it should.
If you start a new score insert a repeat start barline does it
typeset
an empty bar with a repeat start barline at the start?
Is this the version of LilyPond shipped with Denemo?
Richard

I get a barline if I leave out the repeat-start marking, but it
disappears when the repeat is inserted.
And if I try to force a barline in as well as repeat-start, the
edit
window shows both but neither appears.
  Best wishes

PS the Alternative Bar process is much easier.
