Follow-up Comment #1, bug #56844 (project denemo):

This bit can be fixed easily:

These are called "palettes" in Denemo - they have a blue background and by
right clicking you can customize them. Once you have run Denemo you have a
private copy of them, even if you haven't done any customization. It is for
this reason that your Japanese labels have persisted. They are stored in a
file called palettes.xml in the directory $(HOME)/.denemo-2.2.0/actions

Deleting that file will result in the default palettes.

The bug of the title "Window behavior does not follow standard macOS behavior"
is due to the lack of developers with access to a mac :(
