Looking at the example you posted made this bit of your quest clear to
me - I've never seen that before, the lines on either side of the
noteheads. It will require help from the lilypond-user.gnu.org list,
they are always ready to help. Once we know what syntax to use it can be
added via Denemo at a keystroke.

The other bit (controlling the barlines) is actually easier than what I
thought you were trying to achieve. You just have to set "Typeset
Barlines Literally" and then put the number of notes you want in each
bar. There is a command to tell Denemo not to count the bars as being
under-full so that you don't get them painted blue all the time.

But, all this depends on getting Denemo working on your machine ...
there is no earthly reason fludisynth should be complaining about a full
queue, as nothing has been output until you try to play back...
