Well, we'll just have to wait and see if it ever turns up again - there
are all sorts of particular circumstances that can do this sort of thing
which do not survive a re-boot of the operating system.
I looked up Debian Jessie and discovered it is the new Debian stable - I
didn't realize that. I'll wait to upgrade until we have the new release
as I don't want to perturb things right now.
