[Denemo-devel] Modes in Denemo

Someone with a Swedish keyboard could not get the Reminder Accidental
command to work via the ! shortcut. I tried to find the command, and it
turns out only to be visible in one mode.
Here is part of my reply to him:

The command you need is not easy to get at, if (as in this case) your
keyboard is doing something Swedish.
So: go to the Mode menu and set Edit mode
Then in the Notes/Rests menu
go to Edit
then Edit Note
and in that menu there is a menu item labeled

Reminder Accidental

that is the command you want to set your ! on, so right click on the
Reminder Accidental and choose "Edit Shortcuts" and then click
Add and press the ! key.
That should do it.

I think we should try to get rid of these mode things - it is so easy
for commands to get lost. In this case we need to install it in several
menus for it not to be hidden in some modes.

With Edit mode set and the Insert Duration/Edit Note flag set you can do
anything you need (I think).

Can we make that *the* mode of Denemo? We would want the audible
feedback to be turn-off-able, of course.

At least, the only one beginners see.

Richard
