OK - this is ready for testing - the positioning of the mouse on the
extra systems should work, and you should be able to drag to select.
Note that there is no selection rectangle when you have more than one
system, just the highlighted notes. The highlighting may need to be
re-visited - cairo may permit flashing colors for example. (The point
being the color is not such a good clue).
We need to gain experience with handling the multi-system display as the
cursor is moved off-end etc. This will become all the more relevant as
we start to have a playback cursor - a situation where a highly zoomed
down display can be very useful, watching the music play without the
display having to page to often.
