I've built from dist-clean, thru to make install, hidden .denemo and run
denemo - it is starting up fine.
This is bad news, as git pull reports me as being up to date, so I
cannot reproduce your crash. Can you run gdb> E.g. you could do (from
your built repository)

cd denemo/src
gdb ./denemo

>run

and paste up the output?
