I asked because in the latest versions the LilyPond editing can be done
in the LilyPond text window, without sacrificing the ability to return
to editing with Denemo, yet you mention using lilypad.
But, whether you are editing withing Denemo's LilyPond window or
elsewhere it is easy enough to introduce syntax errors, but as this one
is occuring in init.ly it seems likely that your LilyPond installation
has changed - try some known LilyPond files - does anything work?
