The last error in the log, before segfault, is X I/O error. What OS are you using (i can see it's 64bit), and what desktop environment?
When starting DDD, does it show its window, and then crashes, ot there isn't  DDD window at all? If latter, do you have any other Motif application, to see if Motif (lesstif probably) library works at all at your compter?

DDD 3.3.11 that you are using is a rater old version, I think it isn't maintained anymore. Could you please try with latest 3.3.12? If it isn't in your disto's repository, you could compile it from source pretty easily (that would ensure the best compatibility with your system).

Best regards,
Zarko

Hi,

This is the first time I’m using ddd here at Qlogic, and I can’t seem to find anyone familiar with it.

As soon as I issue ‘ddd a.out’, it crashes, so I think it must be a setup issue.

The test program is very simple, it’s basically just a print statement:

#include <iostream.h>

main()

{

cout << "hello world\n";

}

What do I need to make ddd work?

Thank you,

Paul Cheng
