OK: first rule of this list -- do NOT reply directly to any one poster.
Reply to the LIST.  That way (1) every other person has an idea of
what's going on, and (2) your question and any responses will be
archived for future reference, and (3) the archive is indexed and
searchable by everyone's favourite search engines which makes (2) a
lot simpler, and (4) this all helps prevent the same issues getting
dealt with over and over again.

DDD depends on the X11, Xt, Xm, Xmu, and Xpm libraries (at least).
So that means basically all the X stuff apart from Gnome and KDE.

Can you get a backtrace to see where it's crashing? (Try running it
in gdb.)
