cannot start ddd on hpux

hello! I'm currently trying to build ddd on an HPUX11.00 machine. i was able to 
build it successfully using the 

env CPPFLAGS=-I/usr/local/include LDFLAGS=-s ./configure 
--enable-builtin-app-defaults --x-libraries=/usr/lib/X11R6 
--x-includes=/usr/include/X11R6 --without-athena 
--with-motif-libraries=/usr/local/lib --with-motif-includes=/usr/local/include

where my lesstif files are at /usr/local/lib and /usr/local/include.

It was able to make install but when I tried to start it up. I get different 
kinds of errors. This time around I had the following error.

unable to find _dld_flags symbol in object file

/var/tmp//dda27169:3:Error in sourced command file:
Cannot access memory at address 0x0. 

I'm not sure maybe I set the configuration wrong or something. I'm using 
gcc3.2.2, make3.80 and ddd3.3.1. If anyone has every tried to build ddd on an 
HPUX11 machine and has successfully done so please email me.
