using ddd by remote

Hi all,
I wonder if it would be possible to use ddd in the following mode:

ddd is running  on machineA, and dials with gdb which runs on machineB.
(accessing code by ftp mode , and buffering it for instance, or
something like that)


(I am looking for something similar to the xemacs ftp mode. xemacs runs
on machineA , get files by ftp from machineB , buffers it , and user
could work on the buffer with no network delay)
