thanks for your fast feedback!

Some hints and suggestions:

1 Directory

You are using the cybop root directory, which is not correct.
One HAS TO execute the api application from within the directory:

cd cybop/doc/books/cybol
../../../src/controller/cyboi api/run.cybol

OR:
../../../src/controller/cyboi --knowledge=api/run.cybol

Both command lines work for me.

I have also added this hint to the following file:
cybop/INSTALL

By the way: For executing the example applications, you change into:
cd cybop/examples

2 Logging

It does NOT work. I have put it to my TODO list.
Do not use it for now on command line.

3 CYBOI

For the beginning, it may suffice to get used to working with CYBOL/XML.
Step by step you may then "dive" into the CYBOI interpreter's architecture.
To understand it better, please also see the following documents/images:

Could you please try and test once more?
Before investing another couple of hours, better ask back shortly.
