Because of the terms of SCSL license under which the Java

JDK source (and hence it's Javadoc comments) are distributed

we cannot do this, otherwise we risk tainting the free

version of the JDK we are attempting to implement, i.e.

"Classpath".  The only way you can do this is to download

TexiDoclet and do it yourself, or find somebody else who has

already converted the .info files.  



However, we *can* distribute the docs for the Classpath API

(since it is a cleanroom implementation).   Currently we

don't have .info files generated, however.

Could you make the documentation of the JDK API in texi 

format available for download? I do not develop in 

Linux, and the texidoclet is not working for me. But I 

would be more than happy if I could just browse the JDK 

API using the Emacs Info system. Doing the same for my 

own code is nice but really secondary.
