Patches in 'ed' format are unusable, as they are inherently broken if
any other context changes in the meantime. Please regenerate with 'diff
-u' to create a Unified diff, as that is easier to read and can still be
applied even across many types of context changes.  Also please include
a ChangeLog summary.  The HACKING document gives advice on submitting
patches.
