The actual command line was:
cp -x -a --parents /sys /tmp/getsysinfo.wJHW1kgSUc/linux-slot3

The problem is, I can't reproduce this bug and as it's a rather old bug I
can't ask anymore to get it reproduced on the system it happened on.
