   All the above due to: cp -a x y from within /tmp (swap)
   which warned about acl failures. truss shows:
    acl("y/x", SETACL, 4, 0x00042000)               Err#89
    acl("y/x", ACE_SETACL, 3, 0x00041FD0)           Err#89
   NFS didn't the same issue.
