Peng Yu pointed out that the mailing list information on the project
web page didn't mention this mailing list!
I just updated the mailing information there.
http://www.gnu.org/software/coreutils/
I didn't mention coreutils-patches at all. But I also don't think a
canonical process for dealing with patches has really settled out yet
either. Should mention of sending patches to coreutils-patches be
added? I am ambivalent.
I wrote that requests for new features should go here to the coreutils
list. I think that is best for an initial contact. After
consideration the issue can be filed and tracked in the tracker at
bug-coreutils. However feel free to disagree with that process.
Before with only the one mailing list the protocol was simple and the
web documentation didn't differentiate. But I think bringing up the
discussion first makes the most sense.
