Hi all, I have not been very active recently... I apologize, but I really had too many things to deal with. now I am back, and I hope there are still people interested in circle. I am supposed to have broadband access at my place in a few weeks, so I will be able to run a circle daemon from home.
When I get my laptop (ie, another computer) I'll be setting up one on my system as well.
I have been learning a bit about gnome, and I think one thing I'd like to put my hands on is a gnome-vfs module for circle. gnome-vfs is a virtual file system that lets nautilus access files through different protocols. so the idea is to access circle files using nautilus, and/or to use nautilus views in the circle gui (instead of the Searcher object we have now)
That would be amazing. It makes sense to, because each spatial view could be a user on the network. That's how I tended to download things with Circle.
Another thing I'd like to see happening is using the bittorrent protocol for downloading files found on circle. (downloads in Circle never worked well, and this might be the solution)
Can this code be incorporated easily?
