Greetings:
I subscribed to this list in November.
I retired from the programming business two years ago after 30 years
in the field. I have some background in autolisp (20 years ago) but
tweak elisp almost daily.
I've been attracted to the concept of sexp-based code for quite some
time. My interest in scheme is for my own casual edification. My
interest in chicken is because it is linux-friendly and seems to
have considerable libraries and other resources.
My reading of topics in this ML since November seems to indicate
that address@hidden hosts and addresses some very advanced
topics.
I currently have no pressing question to ask about coding in
scheme. I am using John Small's book "Scheme Language
Essentials" as a tutorial guide).
Any topics I might pose or questions that I might ask are likely to
be of a relatively simple nature.
My general inquiry is : Does anyone on this list recommend a more
suitable venue for a newbie such as myself?
Regards
