I noticed that version 2.5 is what is packaged for Debian Sid, so it
seems to be a bit behind. However, I'm fairly new to Chicken and I'm
somewhat confused regarding the release strategy.
- What is the latest stable release, i.e. what version is suitable for
a distro to package and offer to its users?
- I've found the wiki page with the snapshot releases, but where can I
find final releases?

What if I don't want to obey the laws? Do they throw me in jail with
the other bad monads?
