IOW, Apple has already deprecated Carbon on 64-bit platforms. The
Carbon GUI libs are not present in 64-bit Leopard.
Apple will certainly keep large portions of what were formerly known
as Carbon (i.e., the non-GUI parts) because even parts of Cocoa rely
on these as well.
But going forward (i.e., when everything is 64-bit), you simply won't
be able to do GUIs using Carbon - Apple isn't porting the Carbon GUI
libs to 64-bit.
