First of all, we don't know if the project is commercial or not, or
whether that person is even planning on distributing their code, or
just using it internally in their organization or for personal
hobbyist projects -- the GPL does _not_ apply to the latter two
situations. Why the need for unsolicited and possibly unnecessary
warnings, when someone is merely asking about potential solutions to
their problem?

Second, my conclusion was forced by the fact that I have never seen
you warning individuals about the dangers of using BSD-licensed
code. After all, the BSD license does not prohibit anyone from
releasing BSD-licensed code that is patented, for example. Some
individuals and hobbyists may not wish to use BSD-licensed code,
because it does not offer sufficient protection from malicious
corporations. Now that you have established a precedent, I expect to
see you warn users about the possible pitfalls of every license that
eggs have been released under.
