I agree with this. I even have a problem reading the [] as an 
alternative to () that some people use.
I even kind of long for scsh-style SRE's because I dislike 
non-sexp-syntaxes so much. (quote and quasiquote are grandfathered in 
because it's so useful to toggle between data and code.)
