Yes, I recently had been testing on a gcc 3.2 system.  I think everything is 
current for cleanly building on both older and newer gcc systems now.  If 
there are any GNU system compile issues, I would like to know about these, 
and would be happy to talke in patches to address any as part of the 1.0.x 
release set (we have a seperate RELEASE1 branch in cvs for this purpose...).  
Maybe this would be a good time to think about what new features should be 
part of ccaudio 1.1.x development :)...

I have thought about expanding it to support loadable codec convesion modules, 
and to do fft's and other functionality for building host based audio 
processing applications.  Maybe we should also expand to actual generation of 
audio output (sound drivers support)?
