[Bug-XBoard] Problem running xboard on Free BSD 4.4

Hello,

I am having a bit of trouble getting xboard 4.2.7 to run.  The os is Free
BSD 4.4

I installed as per your faq page:

gzip -cd xboard-*.tar.gz | tar -xvf -
    cd xboard-*/
    ./configure
    make
    su
    make install


Everything went fine...

Now when I type ./xboard  I get:   Error: Can't open display:


Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!
