Nowadays it seems increasingly common to find a file that is not being hosted where its actually stored, for access control presumably, and it seems to make no sense in having to type content-disposition when a single letter flag is all that is needed?
Well, we can't simply change the default behavior. That would break lots of workflows.
And enabling it is also a matter of trusting the server, which is not always the case.
May you can enable this "by default" in your environments by adding the flag to ~/.wgetrc or /etc/wgetrc. Or specify a diferent config file in $WGETRC.
