Greetings to all,
It is amazing to see so many students interested in wget this year! This is
a tool I use all the time so it's exciting to be able to be able to
contribute during this summer, I've been wanting to do this for a long time.
I built wget from source yesterday, ran all the tests (after some help from
Giuseppe), and started looking at the bugs on the github page, I hope to be
pushing some bugfixes soon!
Originally I was thinking of working on adding HTTP2 support to recursive
downloads but I read Molnár's thread and you guys' comments. It might be
too ambitious for such a short time, but it's certainly something I would
love to work on later on.
Currently I'm interested on the Improving Wget's Security project, it looks
fairly self contained and with a lot of interesting reading to take on.
I'll have a look at the RFC and start working on a draft.
Finally a brief intro about myself! I'm on my 3rd year of Computer Science
at BarcelonaTech, really into algorithms and with a special interest in
networks, I've also done a brief stint at Electronic Design Automation
research building my own Standard Cell placer :-). As far as development
goes, the C family and python are among my favourite languages, and I've
done projects in both.
Can't wait to work with you all!
Best,
Miquel Llobet
