[Bug-wget] using wget to clean up a page?

I'm wondering whether a wget tool can be used to clean up one of the pages on 
my website.  There is one page that has some faint, short lines that aren't 
suppose to be on the page, and it's apparently due to some erroneous HTML code. 
 Can a wget tool find and fix the problem?  If so, then perhaps I could direct 
the tool to the particular page which is also on my C-drive, and then after 
fixing it, I could upload it again to my website.

I'm unfamiliar with working with HTML code, so if wget can't find and fix this, 
then is there some other tool you could suggest?
