Well, there have been some patches on the mailing list the last few
months, which probably should at least be filed on Savannah.

There are a number of patches in Savannah that need review or application:

These I've already looked over and seem good, but neither of them have

For one of them, the basic change is trivial and shouldn't require
papers, but it includes other changes and some tests, which would be
useful, so it'd be worth pursuing papers for.
