Hi,

I downloaded textutils-2.1.tar.gz from gnu website.

I was trying to build textutils for our processor. I saved textutils under CVS source control (which apparently changed the timestamps of few files) and I was not able to build textutils. Than, I just untarred the downloaded file and made changes locally to config.sub and tried to build the textutils. This time it worked.

For making sure that changing the timestamps of few files breaks textutils-2.1, I untarred the file again and did a "touch -r" of textutils-2.1 and this time it did not build textutils.

To make sure that it has nothing to do with cross-compilation. I tried the same test on my linux pc (build for i686)

I will appreciate any help in this regard. I have this problem, that I can't use the textutils that has been checked in CVS.

Thanks,
Nitin
