tail with options

Hello and happy new year!
sorry if I m wrong but I can-t get tail
working with BOTH options -q (for avoiding headers)
and -number (for having number lines instead of 10).
Each option works fine separately.
I m most than willing to put my limited knowledge to
help in this.
