Hi Gavin,

I totally agree that having Info read .infokey directly would be an
improvement over having to run the infokey program.

The file name .info wouldn't be good, though, since that's the
"extension" too, too easy to overwrite, get confused, lose with
autocomplete, etc.  .inforc would be ok.  But assuming the syntax isn't
changing (hopefully not), I don't see a need to change the name, either.
The infokey program can just become a no-op or dropped or whatever.
Sound ok?
